TALENT FOR MANAGEMENT
A MANAGEMENT TRAINEESHIP FOR YOUNG ACADEMIC WITH AMBITION

THE MANAGEMENT DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM

During the ibc Talent for Management program, Talents follow – in addition to performing a variety of challenging assignments for various customers – a tailor-made Management Development program. The Management Development program aims to develop interpersonal competences and make connections between organizational goals and the Talent’s own contribution to this. In this way, Talents learn to create extra value in a personal and social manner.

THE MANAGEMENT DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM CONSISTS OF THE FOLLOWING PARTS:

Action Learning
the knowledge acquired during the training is directly reflected in existing business cases and turned into personal assignments. This increases the practical application.

Intervision
during intervision meetings, Talents learn from each other and they learn about one another’s development programs. During the intervision sessions, the personal development points and questions relating to current assignments are the leading topics.

Coaching
at the beginning of the program, every Talent is assigned to a coach who will support the Talent for two years. The insights gained during coaching support the Talent’s personal and professional growth process and contribute to better results.

Theme sessions
to stimulate Talents to stay informed of current developments, various theme sessions are organized.

ASSIGNMENTS AND COACHING

During the two-year program, Talents have the opportunity to complete approximately three fulltime assignments in various organizations that fit into their personal development program. To achieve the most from these assignments, ibc provides in-training and personal coaching. The coach delivers tools and insights regarding the professional area of the assignment, and ensures productive cooperation between the Talent and the organization. This guarantees quality work for the company and a quality assignment or the Talent. Moreover, the coach is involved in making a Plan of Action and is present at the evaluation talks during, and at the end of the assignment. Ibc also ensures a good match between the organization, assignment, and the Talent.
The kinds of assignments that the Talents take on and the role of the Talents in these assignments are many -sided.
Assignments are characterized by tasks, competences needed, and challenge(s). Roles that fit into that picture are, for example, those of (junior) project manager, project management officer, marketeer, junior business controller, or (HRM) consultant. The assignments cover the following four areas of expertise; Processes & IT, Finance & Control, Marketing & Communication, and People & Organization, and can relate to, for example, process optimalization, management reports, organizational changes, and product development.
On our website www.talentformanagement.nl you can read more about the assignments and their interpretation by the Talents.
